Are our work at home jobs
Cupid's little helpers?
Work at home? If so, you've got a great advantage over your spouse in the romance department. Use your special work at home lifestyle to your maximum loving advantage!
Six simple ideas for spicing up your marriage if you work at home...
Become a better spouse. Think of a few of your own.
- Have you ever thought of a good nap as a gift for someone? Use your time at home to REST. Especially if you have children, even if you work at home you may find that a little rest might be a better aphrodisiac and a better gift than any order of oysters or the nicest gift you can think of. Isn't that what he or she wants more than anything else... to feel really important and special to you? If you're rested and caught up you can listen better and become more involved with what your spouse is saying to you. There's nothing better for your marriage than some really good communication and private time. But it's hard to give that to someone when you're totally exhausted and overextended. Maybe some rest for you is the nicest gift you can give him.
- If you work at home, use your time alone in the house to spread little "I Love You's" all around the house where only he or she will find them... in their books, in the refrigerator, in their favorite bag of snacks, in their dresser drawer, suit pocket, shower, shoes, briefcase. What the heck, put a note in tons of their clothes. You work at home. You've got the time!
- Use your work at home advantage to prepare special meals or goodies during the day, then hide them and serve later. People who don't work at home rarely have the chance to get away with this since they must prepare the food while he/she is in the house to spoil the surprise.
- Use your work at home career and time alone to run secret errands... buying gifts or getting them engraved, for example. Another big advantage is that people who work at home also get to do their shopping and other errands when there are fewer people on the roads. Takes less time!
- Write him/her a romantic letter. Free and simple, but so very precious. Tell him/her how much they mean to you, how happy you are that you met them, and most of all, how you can't possibly imagine your life without them. Thank them for every little thing you can think of. Make them feel really appreciated. Letters like that are saved for a lifetime. No over-priced gift store greeting card can match that.
- Your spouse works at an office but you work at home. Is there any way he might be able to, uh, get away from his office for awhile to meet you, uh, at your home office, for, uh, a special private, uh, meeting? Tell him or her you need them at home because something broke or you don't feel well or something so it's a surprise. You know what to do from there.
